Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections Overview
The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections are underway with a robust electoral setup designed to accommodate a significant voter base. Approximately 88 lakh voters are expected to participate in the election process, which is scheduled to occur in three phases: September 18, September 25, and October 1. The electoral process will cover 90 constituencies across the region.
In preparation for the elections, 209 new polling stations have been established to facilitate voter access and convenience. The Election Commission has implemented comprehensive arrangements, including webcasting at all polling booths to ensure transparency and real-time monitoring.
